National Lottery dominates UK gambling search visibility as operator groups pursue contrasting SEO strategies
Egamingmonitor.com’s May 2026 analysis of 303 operator domains shows national-lottery.co.uk far ahead of the market, while Flutter, Entain and Bally’s Intralot build search visibility through portfolios of multiple brands.
The latest eGaming Monitor search analysis reveals a highly uneven UK gambling visibility market. Some brands generate substantial traffic from a relatively narrow set of high-value rankings, while others build reach through hundreds of tracked keywords and a broader long-tail presence.
The dataset contains 303 operator domains and attributes approximately 19,410,054 in estimated traffic to their tracked keyword rankings. It also identifies each domain’s operator group and the regulator or combination of regulators associated with the business.

National Lottery remains in a category of its own
National-lottery.co.uk was the clear leader, ranking for 386 tracked keywords and generating estimated traffic of 4,090,178. It combined the largest traffic total with the widest keyword footprint among the leading operators.
Its position reflects the distinctive nature of lottery search demand, which includes results, draw information, jackpot queries, ticket-related searches and exceptionally strong brand recognition. Direct comparisons with conventional sportsbook and casino operators should therefore be made with some caution.
Paddy Power leads the conventional operator market
Paddypower.com ranked second overall by traffic, generating 1,800,466 from 317 tracked ranking keywords. It combined scale with breadth more effectively than any conventional sportsbook or casino brand in the dataset.
Skybet.com followed with 1,706,279 in estimated traffic despite ranking for only 74 tracked keywords. This indicates a much more concentrated search profile, with a smaller set of rankings delivering traffic comparable to that generated by Paddy Power’s far broader keyword footprint.
William Hill and Entain brands retain substantial visibility
Williamhill.com ranked fourth with 1,564,465 in estimated traffic from 209 keywords. Ladbrokes.com followed with 1,313,235 from 87 keywords, while coral.co.uk generated 863,030 from 78.
The comparison illustrates the importance of operator-group ownership. William Hill forms part of Bally’s Intralot, whereas Ladbrokes and Coral sit within Entain. Group-level search strength is therefore distributed across several domains rather than expressed through a single flagship brand.

Operator groups reveal the portfolio effect
Flutter Entertainment’s domains generated a combined estimated traffic total of 4,569,974 across 12 domains in the dataset. Its visibility was spread across Paddy Power, Sky Bet, Betfair, Tombola and several other brands.
Entain generated 3,273,393 across 12 domains, led by Ladbrokes, Coral and Foxy Bingo. Bally’s Intralot generated 2,711,502 across 20 domains, with William Hill as its largest contributor alongside Virgin Games, Jackpotjoy, 888 and Monopoly Casino properties.
This portfolio effect matters when interpreting share of voice. A domain-level chart identifies the strongest individual websites, but group-level aggregation provides a broader picture of how corporate operators occupy multiple parts of the search market through distinct sportsbook, casino, bingo and lottery brands.
Regulatory footprints vary across the leading brands
The data also highlights differences in regulatory structure. The National Lottery and Betfred are shown with UK regulation, while several leading multinational brands operate under combinations that include the UK alongside Malta, Ireland, Gibraltar or other jurisdictions.
Regulator labels should not be interpreted as a measure of SEO performance in themselves. They provide important market context, however, by distinguishing locally regulated brands from international operators whose domains and licences span several territories.
Keyword breadth and traffic efficiency tell different stories
Paddy Power’s 317 ranking keywords generated 1.80 million in estimated traffic, while Sky Bet achieved 1.71 million from only 74. Betfair, Betfred and BetVictor also illustrate the same principle in different ways: a large keyword count does not necessarily produce the largest traffic total.
The quality, search volume, intent and ranking position of each term can matter more than the raw number of keywords. A domain ranking prominently for a compact set of major branded or transactional queries may outperform another with much broader coverage across lower-volume searches.
Visibility remains concentrated at the top
The six leading domains accounted for approximately 58.4% of all estimated traffic in the supplied dataset. Below them lies a long tail of bingo, casino, sportsbook, poker and lottery brands competing for smaller pockets of search demand.
This concentration makes the UK market highly competitive but not uniform. Established brands benefit from recognition and major search volumes, while smaller operators may depend on specialist niches, long-tail rankings or a narrower product focus.
A search share-of-voice measure, not a revenue ranking
The analysis compares the number of tracked keywords for which each operator domain ranked with the estimated traffic attributed to those rankings. It is best understood as a search share-of-voice indicator.
Estimated traffic can also be influenced by keyword volumes, ranking positions, brand searches and the composition of the tracked keyword set.
